The Visit of the Students of the Paris 'National' and Marseille Colleges to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 22, in the “Karekin I” Educational Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received 45 students of the Paris 'National' and Marseille Colleges, accompanied by Mr. Sarkis Bedoian, benefactor of the Mother See.
His Holiness expressed satisfaction on the occasion of the beautiful tradition, thanks to which the students of these two Armenian schools in France visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin every year.
The Catholicos of All Armenians talked with the students about the importance of the international community's recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, adding that it has not only national but also universal coverage, as the aim of the struggle is to prevent repetition of such crimes in the human life.
Being interested in the study of the students, His Holiness Karekin II urged the Armenians to diligently continue their education and become worthy children of their nation.
The Armenian Pontiff urged the students to strengthen their relation with the Church and be constantly communicated with the national values and sacred heritage, so that they can maintain their identity steadfast.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the Directors of the Colleges, teaching staff and trustees for organizing visits to Armenia and the Mother See.
In turn, some of the students recited, offering a pleasant surprise to His Holiness.
At the conclusion, the Catholicos of All Armenians blessed the French-Armenian students through the “Protector” prayer and in memory of their visit granted them crosses.
