The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council Convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
On November 1, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council was convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The Chairman of the meeting was His Eminence Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan, Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople.
The meeting was opened with the Lord's Prayer, following which the members of the meeting observed a minute of silence in memory of the Armenians who died as a result of the Azerbaijani military aggression on September 13-14 and prayed for the peace and tranquility of their souls.
Afterwards, the Catholicos of All Armenians, welcoming the participation of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople and the clergymen from diaspora dioceses in the meeting, conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the clergy and lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council and invited His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Parsamyan, Pontifical delegate of Western Europe, and representative of the Catholicos of All Armenians in the Vatican, to chair the sessions of the meeting.
The topic of discussion at the meeting will be the post-war situation in Artsakh and Armenia, as well as the process of the Mother Cathedral's major repairs, consecration and the organization of the Blessing of the Holy Muron events. The agenda also includes issues related to national, church-administrative, organizational, social, improvement and repair of churches and sanctuaries, and the educational mission of the Church.
