The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple was Celebrated in the Mother See
On February 14, on the Feast Day of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple, with the Blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Divine Liturgy was offered in the St. Gayane Monastery. The Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Grigoris Poghosyan, Spiritual pastor of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Stavropol of the Armenian Diocese of Krasnodar and the North Caucasus.
In his sermon at the Divine Liturgy, Rev. Fr. Grigoris reflecting on the sacrament of the Feast and the importance of meeting the Lord in a Christian's life, he emphasized that the salvation and support of the people is Christ himself with His enlightened doctrine.
The Celebrant urged the faithful to keep the light of faith in their lives and walk towards the Lord with the true conviction that Christ is always a supporter and protector of those who believe in Him.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, presided over by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of the Baltic States, His Grace Bishop Vardan Navasardyan, a Service of Blessing of the newly married was offered.
On the same day, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, received newly married deacons serving in various structures of the Mother See, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See.
His Holiness, conveying his appreciation and patriarchal message to the newlyweds, wished them happiness, love and compassion for each other. His Holiness also urged them to live in an evangelical spirit so that divine peace and love would always be in their new families.
