The Catholicos of All Armenians Received the students of "Mari Manookian" School of AGBU of Buenos Aires 15.09.2023

On September 15, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted students of the graduating class of the "Mari Manookian" College of the Armenian General Benevolent Union of Buenos Aires (Argentina).

His Holiness, conveying his paternal blessings to the students, happily emphasized that the visit of the students of the school's graduating class to Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has become a beautiful tradition. On this occasion, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his appreciation to the AGBU officials and the management of the college for such an initiative.

His Holiness expressed his confidence that the visit to Armenia will nourish and strengthen the patriotism that the pedagogues of the school have instilled in the hearts of the students.

In his remarks, the Armenian Patriarch referred to the difficult situation in Armenia and Artsakh, the humanitarian disaster created in Artsakh, emphasizing the brave and indomitable spirit of Artsakh Armenians, with which they face the current trials. The Armenian Patriarch also emphasized the efforts of the national structures of the Diaspora in the direction of helping Artsakh and overcoming the challenges facing the Armenian people.

At the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians recalled his visit to national structures and educational institutions within the framework of his Pontifical visit to Argentina, evaluating the organization of the Argentine Armenian colony and its zeal for national values. In this regard, His Holiness urged the pilgrim Armenians to be patriotic and church-loving, to keep the national consciousness and spirit alive and to contribute to the strengthening of the community life.

At the conclusion, His Holiness answered the questions of the students, which were related to the efforts made by the Armenian Church for the settlement of the Artsakh conflict and the humanitarian programs implemented for the Artsakh Armenians.
