The Catholicos of All Armenians received the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh and members of the diocesan council
On April 5, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the members of the diocesan council of the Artsakh diocese, accompanied by the diocesan Primate His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
Issues related to the protection of Artsakh people's rights, their social status and moral and psychological condition were discussed at the meeting. Reference was also made to the support programs implemented by the Church.
The Patriarch of Armenia urged the diocesan Primate and the members of the diocesan council to continue to use all possible means in cooperation with the relevant structures of the Mother See and Diaspora dioceses to raise before international and inter-church structures the issues of ensuring the rights of the people of Artsakh and preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.
Noting that the preservation of diocesan structures is necessary, His Holiness also emphasized the continuity of the projects implemented in the direction of the consolidation of the Armenians of Artsakh, the strengthening of the spirit and the overcoming of the challenges faced.
