The Catholicos of All Armenians received the pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America
On June 27, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the pilgrims of the community of the Holy Savior Church of Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, under the guidance of the spiritual pastor Reverend Fr. Thadeos Barseghyan.
Asking for the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Father Thadeos emphasized that the pilgrims visited Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to renew their vows and strengthen their ties with the Motherland.
The Armenian Patriarch, conveying his paternal love and blessings to the pilgrims, emphasized the support of the Diaspora Armenians to their native brothers and sisters in this difficult and hard period for Armenia.
His Holiness recorded that the Armenians who survived the Genocide, settling in the USA, recreated the national life with faith and optimism and, uniting around the Church, preserved their identity. The Patriarch noted that the Armenian community of Worcester, being the oldest in the USA, is the best evidence of this. The Catholicos of All Armenians emphasized that with the same faith and strong will, with national unity, our people are able to face all the difficulties and trials of today, strengthen the foundations of independent Armenian statehood, pursue the protection of the rights of displaced Artsakh Armenians.
At the meeting, His Holiness also told the pilgrim Armenians to further enliven community life by educating and raising their children with spiritual and national values, strengthening in their hearts the love and devotion to the homeland and the Armenian Church.
