The Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Newly Appointed Korean Ambassador to Armenia
On February 21, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Chan Ho-Jin, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Armenia in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
His Holiness, noting with gratitude the strengthening and development of interstate relations and cooperation between the two countries, wished the newly appointed Ambassador an efficient mission.
At the meeting, the Armenian Patriarch introduced the Ambassador to the history of the Armenian Church and its special role in the life of Armenian people.
Ambassador Chan Ho-Jin emphasized that it is a great honor for him to carry out a diplomatic mission in Armenia, which has a rich culture, history and traditions.
The Ambassador confirmed that there are warm relations between the two countries, as a result of which a cooperation has been formed in a number of fields and on international platforms.
During the conversation, a reference was made to the humanitarian disaster caused by the blocking of the Lachin Corridor, post-war challenges, as well as the problems of preserving the Armenian spiritual and historical-cultural heritage in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan.
