Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On September 16, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received members of the Ladies Committee of Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church of Montreal, under the leadership of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan.

Representing the pilgrim Armenians, Bishop Abgar conveyed His Holiness the information about the programs implemented by the Ladies Committee in the diocesan life and in the homeland.

Then the Catholicos of All Armenians, conveying his paternal blessing to those present, highly appreciated the dedication and love of the members of the Ladies Committee towards the motherland and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Referring to the difficult situation prevailing in the homeland, His Holiness emphasized the need for the unity of Armenians worldwide in facing the current challenges, the manifestation of dedication and commitment, the spirit of self-sacrifice.

Emphasizing the role of the international community in overcoming the existing problems, the Armenian Patriarch urged those present to do the possible in their communities so that the country's authorities condemn the sizeist policy of Azerbaijan and the instilling of Armenian hatred.

At the conclusion, His Holiness answered the questions of the pilgrims, which were related to the current situation in Armenia, the Mother programs implemented in various fields, and the Mother Cathedral's major repair works.
