The Catholicos of All Armenians received the delegation of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America
On December 4, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the delegation of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, represented by Reverend Fr. Vazgen Boyajyan, Spiritual Pastor of the Holy Resurrection Church of Seattle, Washington; Rev. Fr. Mesrop Ash, Spiritual Pastor of St. John's Church in San Francisco; and Diocesan Council Chairman Mr. Vardan Naziryan.
Father Vazgen, asking for the blessings of His Holiness, informed that the delegation has arrived in Armenia to get acquainted with the challenges facing Artsakh Armenians, their social situation and to develop support programs based on the assessment of needs.
Conveying his love and blessings to the members of the delegation, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderyan, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, for his efforts to support Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
At the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians referred to the difficult situation of the depatriated Artsakh Armenians, and presented to the guests the support programs for the Armenians of Artsakh implemented by the Mother See, emphasizing also the consistent participation of Diaspora Armenians in that matter.
At the conclusion, His Holiness answered the questions of the delegation members, which were related to the difficult situation of the Artsakh Armenians and the expansion of the implemented support programs.
