The Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Delegation of the Lutheran-Evangelical Church of Finland
On April 29, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Bishop Seppo Häkkinen, Primate of the Diocese of Mikkeli, Finland and Dean of the Inter-Church Relations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and Timo Rosqvist, Chancellor of the Diocese of Mikkeli and Dean of Inter-church relations of the Diocese.
His Holiness, welcoming the guests' visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, emphasized that such visits give new strength to the warm relations between the two Churches.
During the meeting, His Holiness also referred to the challenges in the region, Azerbaijan's harrasements on Armenia's sovereign borders, the blockade of Artsakh and the resulting humanitarian crisis, the Armenians still held in captivity, as well as the problems of preserving the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.
In turn, the Bishop of the Lutheran-Evangelical Church, emphasizing the establishment of peace and stability in the region, assured His Holiness that in this difficult period for Armenia and Artsakh, they are praying and supporting the Armenian people and the Armenian Church.
