The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Students of the Department of Armenian Studies of the University of Fresno

On May 31, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received a group of students from the Department of Armenian Studies of Fresno State University (USA), accompanied by the Head of the Department, Dr. Deacon Barlow Ter-Mkrtchyan.
His Holiness, conveying his blessings and good wishes to the students, expressed his appreciation to Dn. Barlow Ter-Mkrtchyan for constantly connecting the Armenian youth with the Homeland and educating them in the Armenian spirit.
The Catholicos of All Armenians introduced the students to the difficult situation in the homeland and Artsakh and urged that the young students, in their turn, use every opportunity to raise the just demand of Artsakh Armenians' right to live freely and independently in all instances, as well as in front of the US authorities, in order to prevent Azerbaijan's expansionist policy.
In his turn, Deacon Barlow informed His Holiness that about four hundred students participate in the classes of the Armenian Studies Department of the university. Deacon Barlow Ter-Mkrtchyan highlighted the importance of the students' visit to Armenia, which is the best opportunity for them to get to know and communicate with the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage.
