The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America 11.07.2023

On July 11, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Mesrop Hovsepyan, Spiritual Pastor of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in New York and Rev. Fr. Andreas Karapetyan, Spiritual Pastor of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Chicago.

Fr. Mesrop asking for the blessings of the Catholicos of All Armenians; presented the faithful who came to the Mother See on pilgrimage.

His Holiness conveyed his love and blessings to the pilgrims and expressed his gratitude to the Spiritual Pastors for their effective ministry.

The Catholicos of All Armenians emphasized the importance of organizing such pilgrimages from Armenian dioceses around the world, especially in these difficult days for the Motherland, which provides an opportunity to become aware of the challenges in Armenia and Artsakh. In this regard, His Holiness urged the pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America to speak out about the situation in Artsakh and Armenia in their country and to make consistent efforts for the protection of the safe life of Artsakh Armenians, the right to live freely and independently.

In his remarks, the Catholicos of All Armenians also commanded the pilgrims to support and help their Spiritual Pastors, spare no effort in order to strengthen their communities and preserve the national identity of the young generation.

At the conclusion, the Armenian Patriarch answered the pilgrims' questions, which were related to overcoming the challenges in Armenia and Artsakh.
