The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America 04.08.2023

On August 4, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received  Pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, accompanied by Reverend Fr. Hakob Gevorgyan, Spiritual Pastor of the Holy Trinity Church of Philadelphia.

Father Hakob, seeking the blessings of His Holiness, introduced the Armenians who came to the Mother See on pilgrimage.

His Holiness, conveying his love and blessings to the pilgrims, emphasized the importance of organizing such pilgrimages from Armenian dioceses around the world to Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, which provides the best opportunity for Armenians to get to know the Motherland and become familiar with its spiritual and cultural heritage.

During the meeting, referring to the situation in Armenia and the blockade of Artsakh, the Catholicos of All Armenians urged the pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America to speak up in their country and present the situation in the region to the authorities, and to make consistent efforts for the protection of the safe life of Artsakh Armenians, the right to live freely and independently.

At the conclusion, the Armenian Patriarch answered the questions of the pilgrims, which were related to the programs implemented by the Mother See aimed at overcoming the challenges in Armenia and Artsakh.
