Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On October 9, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the Iraqi-Armenian pilgrims, accompanied by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Iraq, His Grace Bishop of Oshakan Gyulgulyan.

Asking for the blessings of the Patriarch of All Armenians, Bishop Oshakan introduced the pilgrim Armenians.

Then, conveying his love and blessing to the pilgrims, His Holiness congratulated the Iraqi Armenians on the occasion of receiving the episcopal rank of their Primate. The Armenian Pontiff expressed his belief that Bishop Oshakan, having the support of the spiritual class of the diocese, the central administration, will make his leadership service effective with new achievements.

At the meeting, His Holiness urged the Iraqi-Armenian pilgrims to live more zealously with national-spiritual values, preserve their national identity, make every effort to strengthen the Armenian community and bring their useful service to the nation, homeland and Church.
