The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims from the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and the Armenian Diocese of France
On October 7, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received pilgrims from the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and the Armenian Diocese of France. They were led by Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Grigor Khachatryan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of France.
Archimandrite Grigor, asking for the blessings of His Holiness, presented the pilgrims and emphasized that they have come to the homeland to bring their support to the Armenian people in these difficult days.
Conveying his love and blessings to the Armenians, His Holiness emphasized the pilgrimage visits of Armenians from Armenian dioceses around the world to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, especially in this difficult period for Armenia, which gives them the opportunity to become aware of the challenges in the Motherland and the problems of forcibly displaced Artsakh Armenians.
During the meeting, the Armenian Patriarch referred to the difficulties facing the depatriated Artsakh citizens, emphasizing that the Armenian Church also provides its active support in overcoming them.
In his remarks, His Holiness urged the pilgrims to raise the issue of preserving the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh in their countries, and to make consistent efforts in that direction.
The Catholicos of All Armenians also expressed his appreciation to the pilgrim Armenians for their dedication and unconditional love for the Motherland and the Armenian Church.
