The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims from the Eastern and Western Dioceses of the Armenian Church of North America
On October 2, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received pilgrims from the Eastern and Western Dioceses of the Armenian Church of North America, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.
The Archimandrite, asking for the blessings of His Holiness, emphasized that the pilgrims have arrived at the spiritual center of all Armenians to renew their vows in Holy Etchmiatsin and to bring their support to the Armenian people in these difficult days.
Conveying his love and blessing to the Armenians, His Holiness emphasized the importance of organizing such pilgrimages from Armenian dioceses around the world, especially in this difficult period for the Motherland, which provides an opportunity to communicate the challenges facing Armenia and the forcibly displaced Artsakh Armenians.
At the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians also referred to the support provided by the Mother See to Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh and the works aimed at preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.
His Eminence, emphasizing the role of the Diaspora, urged the Armenian pilgrims of the USA to raise the issue of preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh in their country and to make consistent efforts in that direction.
In his remarks, the Catholicos of All Armenians also commanded the pilgrims to be allies of Armenia, the deprived of their homeland, and spare no effort for the sake of building and strengthening the homeland.
