Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On September 10, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted Mr. David Babayan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Vertanes Abrahamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh.

His Holiness expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his participation in the International Conference held in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, which provides an opportunity for the participants to comprehensively present the current challenges facing Artsakh. His Holiness informed the Minister, that during this period, the representatives of the Sister Churches had carried out proper work to raise the issue of Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia in international instances.

At the meeting, His Holiness noted that the Secretary General of the World Council of Churches and the President of the Conference of European Churches were informed about the work carried out by the Mother See in the preservation of the spiritual and cultural values of Artsakh.

In his speech, Minister Davit Babayan emphasized that Artsakh has always felt the support of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and greatly appreciated it. He also stressed the importance of organizing such conferences, through which it is possible to make Artsakh more recognizable in various international arenas.
