The Catholicos of All Armenians had a meeting with the clergymen who completed the Priest Accelerated Course at the Mother See
On November 23, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; in the “Garegin I” educational center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, met the priests who had completed the regular three-week accelerated courses, who had arrived from different dioceses of Armenia and the Diaspora.
His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, asking the blessings of His Holiness, informed that the priests had the opportunity to update their theological, liturgical and historical knowledge during the training.
On behalf of the clergy participating in the accelerated courses, Rev. Fr. Abgar Glchyan, expressed his gratitude to the Armenian Patriarch for organizing such courses at the Mother See, expressing confidence that the acquired knowledge will contribute more to the effectiveness of the spiritual service.
His Holiness then conveyed his blessings to the spiritual fathers, expressing satisfaction at the resumption of the training program. His Holiness stressed the importance of these training courses held at the Mother See, which provide an opportunity for clergymen from different dioceses to come together, to get strengthened through each other, to reflect together on spiritual issues, as well as to exchange spiritual experience. In his remarks, His Holiness urged the priests to strengthen the interaction between the communities to make the spiritual mission even more effective.
The Patriarch of also expressed his appreciation to the clergy for their devoted and unconditional service to the nation, the motherland and the Church.
