Supreme Spiritual Council Reflected on the Issue of Leasing the “Cows’ Garden” Estate by the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem
On November 11, the Supreme Spiritual Council, continuing its work, among other issues on the agenda, made a special reference to the issue of leasing the “Cows’ Garden” estate by the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which has also received a wide response on various public platforms.
The SSC expressed its concern that due to the various positions on this issue, the internal solidarity and unity of the St. James Brotherhood of Jerusalem has been disrupted. It was also worrying, that the current situation, giving rise to unfavorable comments and moods in various circles of the society, reduces the reputation of our ancient Hierarchical See.
The SSC with gratitude stated, that His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; addressed a letter to the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem a few days ago, urging him to reflect on the concerns through proper interpretation, and to restore solidarity in the Brotherhood.
The SSC expressed hope, that the Patriarch of Jerusalem and the members of the St. James Brotherhood, will made all possible efforts to settle the issue in accordance with the requirements of the Charter.
