"St. Hovhannes III of Odzun - the Wise Catholicos and His Time" Symposium to be Held in the Mother See

The year 2017 marks the 1300th anniversary of the enthronement of St. Hovhannes III of Odzun, 34th Catholicos of All Armenians - a triumphal Pontiff of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.
A number of events are being organized to celebrate this significant jubilee, and books are being published to re-evaluate the life works of St. Hovhannes Odznetsi.
With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; and through the initiative of His Eminence Archbishop Sepuh Chuljian, Primate of the Diocese of Gougark; the Gevorkian Theological Seminary and the Vache and Tamar Manoukian Library of the Mother See, are jointly organizing a Symposium: "St. Hovhannes III of Odzun - the Wise Catholicos and His Time" which will be held on December 5th.
The organizing committee has issued a call for proposals for participation in the Symposium.
Proposals on presentation should be submitted in brief (roughly 250 words) to the Gevorkian Theological Seminary before November 10, 2017. Proposal submissions and participation inquiries can be sent by email to: [email protected].
The conference presentations will be published.
