Spiritual Assitance to Families Project Conference 18.04.2017

On April 18, the Spiritual Assitance to Families Project Conference was convened in the Aghveran Park Resort facility, with the participation of clergy involved in the project and staff members of the Christian Education Center of Mother See (CEC).

The CEC implemented the project Spritual Assistance to Families in 2010; in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, and with the support of the WCC Round Table Charitable Foundation and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The aim of the program was to find possible means to overcome problems and avoid various crises by means of a spiritual path, through meetings with priests, parents, and students and was launched in different regions of the Republic of Armenia.

The Conference was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and the singing of the Today is Risen hymn announcing the good news of the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ. His Grace Bishop Vardan Navasardyan, CEC Director; delivered welcoming and blessing remarks, presenting the course of the program and the current thematic focus.

Bishop Vardan expressed his filial gratitude to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, for sending Pontifical blessings for the project implementation, and as well as expressed gratitude to the partner institutions of the project- the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the WCC Armenia Round Table Charitable Foundation.

Mr. Garik Hayrapetyan, UNFPA Director; also delivered welcoming remarks and stressed the importance of the sustainable and effective cooperation in the framework of the project.

During the conference, Rev. Fr. Ruben Zargaryan; Rev. Fr. Sipan Gevorkian; Rev. Fr. Gabriel Vardanyan and Mr. Varand Kortmosyan will deliver lectures on the theme: “The Possibility of Christian Freedom of Expression in the Family”.

Trainers Mrs. Susanna Vardanyan, Mr. Areg Tadevosyan, and Mrs. Yelena Harutyunyan will be facilitators during the discussions and provide guidance on structure and process.
