Special Requiem Service in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On Sunday, February 1, a special Repose of Souls Service was offered in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin following the celebration of Divine Liturgy. His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians presided, as prayers were offered asking for rest for the souls of four high-ranking clergymen that the Armenian Church lost in the previous two months.
The four bishops of the Church who recently entered their eternal rest were: His Eminence Archbishop Zaven Chinchinian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Egypt and Africa; His Grace Bishop Kyuregh Kapigian of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem; His Eminence Archbishop Sahag Aivazian of the Catholicosate of Cilicia; and His Eminence Archbishop Mesrob Ashjian of the Catholicosate of Cilicia.
Rev. Fr. Narek Avagian celebrated the Divine Liturgy and offered the requiem service. In attendance were Members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, and hundreds of faithful.
