Rev. Fr. Sahak Ashakertian Enters Eternal Rest
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin regrets to announce the death of Rev. Fr. Sahak Archpriest Ashakertian, parish priest of Saint Sarkis Armenian Church of the Diocese of Damascus.
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, expresses his condolences to the clergymen of the diocese, the diocesan council members, and the family of the deceased servant of the Armenian Church.
Rev. Fr. Sahak Archpriest Ashakertian was born in 1920. In 1974 he was ordained into the holy order of priesthood, and for nearly 30 years, gave his dedicated service as parish priest of St. Sarkis Armenian Church of Damascus.
Funeral services will be offered on August 1. Blessed be the memory of Father Sahak.
