Receptions in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin 16.12.2019

On December 14 and 15, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, within the frameworks of the “Family Year”, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received large families from Masis town, under the presidency of Rev. Fr. Ararat Ordoyan (Ararat Pontifical Diocese), and from Armavir town and its surrounding  communities, under the presidency of Rev. Fr. Artak Simonyan (Armavir Diocese).

Expressing the boundless joy of his soul on the occasion of the large families' visits to the Armenian Spiritual Center, the Pontiff of All Armenians conveyed his Blessings and appreciation to the older and younger pilgrims.

His Holiness emphasized, that he has proclaimed the year 2019 as the “Family Year” to reflect on the values due to which the Armenian family is strong and powerful. According to the Catholicos of All Armenians, these values can be integrated into two major ideas: godliness and patriotism, and in each family anchored on those ideas, will dominate the love, mutual respect and the spirit of solidarity.

The Catholicos of All Armenians whished  that the Holy Right Hand of our Lord always protect the Armenian families so that they always live under the Blessings and abundance of God.

On December 15, the Pontiff of All Armenians also received the joint team of “Kurkjian” Childen's Support Center operating under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and “SOS Children's Village” charitable foundation, who won  the 16th Mini Football international tournament(Saint Petersburg, Russia), accompanied by trainer Mr. Andranik Ghahramanyan, Director of the “Kurkjian” Center Aram Mkrtchyan and representative of SOS Children’s Villages Rubik Pashinyan.

His Holiness expressing his joy on the victory recorded, congratulated the teenagers on this remarkable achievement. The Pontiff of All Armenians emphasized the importance of the manifestation of the joint spirit in different spheres, due to which we can only succeed. He also stated that the teenagers’ victory is the testimony of the good job being implemented in the support centers.

At the conclusion, the Pontiff of All Armenians expressed his appreciation to the trainer and responsible members, and wished the young sportsmen new successes.

Today, 15 teenagers are being cared for and educated in the “Kurkjian” Children’s Support Center.
