With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the Publishing Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, has published the monograph book in Russian entitled “Catholicos of All Armenians Gevorg IV of Constantinople: 1866-1882” by Valery Tunyan.
The book reflected on a number of important issues concerning the Armenian Church during the enthronement of His Holiness Gevorg IV, Catholicos of All Armenians. The enthronement years of the Pontiff of All Armenians are characterized by an increase of the role of the Mother See in the lives of the Armenian people.
The monograph presents both the relations between the Mother See and Western Armenian dioceses, and the relations between the Catholicos and the Russian Empire as well as the Caucasian Government.
