Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholiocos of All Armenians, the Publishing Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, with the initiative of the Archive of the Mother See, has published the second volume of the collection “Documents of the History of the Armenian Church”.

It presents 302 various documents relating the Gevorkian Theological Seminary; Mother See museum; “Ararat” magazine; as well as the religious-ecclesiastical activities of the late Gevork IV Catholicos of All Armenians.

The documents included in the collection are dated 1866-1923 and consist of the following sections: “Documents”, “Biographical Dictionary”, “List of Names”, “List of Places”, “List of Documents”.

The collection was composed by Mrs. Gohar Avagyan, through the edition of Amatuni Virabyan, Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Armenia. The RA Ministry of Culture also supported to the preparation of the collection.

The book was published by the benevolent sponsorship of the benefactor of the Mother See, the Sarkis Gabrellian Fund.
