Message of His Holiness Karekin II on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary

On this joyful occasion of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary, We bring our Pontifical blessings to all people worldwide from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and congratulate all women on the Day of Motherhood and Beauty.
On these days, when the peace of our life is disturbed because of the military operations unleashed upon Artsakh, the prayers of intercession addressed to our Holy Virgin Mary, with a special fervor are heard in our holy churches in order that "the wars end, the enemy attacks stop and that love and justice be established on earth.
For centuries, under the caring and loving gaze of our mothers, our sincere children were educated: the scientist and pedagogue, soldier and commander, priest and peasant, who have advanced our Homeland, kept the borders of our country in peace and defended our God-granted right to live freely.
The danger of war facing the Homeland today, extends more importance to the mission of our mothers, to create brave soldiers; and newly discovering their courage and spirit not to recede before difficulties.
Dear mothers and sisters, we extend our prayers to God to keep you, your families and children under his Holy Right, granting prosperous and happy long days of peaceful life.
