MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS KAREKIN II
ON THE FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION OF THE HOLY VIRGIN MARY

From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, on this joyful occasion of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary, We bring our Pontifical blessings and congratulations to all mothers, sisters and women on the Day of Motherhood and Beauty.
During these days of Easter, we celebrate the glorious memory of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary, asking for the Virgin Mary's intercession for all our people, and especially for women who are awaiting the joy of motherhood. Two thousand years ago, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ humbly accepted the divine message of giving birth to the Savior of mankind from the angel of the Lord, saying: “And now I am the Lord's servant”. Having the good example of the Holy Virgin’s Divinity and humble faith in the Lord, throughout history our mothers and sisters did not retreat when faced with difficulties, and our mothers have always educated and fed their valiant children with their love towards faith, patriotism, courage and self-sacrifice.
Dear mothers and sisters, having the good news of the Annunciation Feast in our hearts, we offer our prayers to the Almighty God, so that our Heavenly Lord blesses you and your children.
May the Lord abound your graces, bless and protect you during all days of your life. May the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen.
