Dear Faithful,
With the spiritual feelings of the Great Lent, we have reached Holy Thursday step by step. Today, we commemorated the establishment of the Sacrament of Holy Communion by our Lord Jesus Christ in Attic of the Last Supper Room, and in the evening, with the special Service commemorating the severe sufferings of Our Lord, we are approaching to the most mysterious time of this Holy Week –Holy Friday. Dear ones, on Holy Friday, we are called to reflect on the terrible sufferings of the Lord to emancipate from sins; as well as His atoning sacrifice, and the path opening for our salvation; with prayers and spiritual thoughts, regret and repentance. On this day we with sorrow, glorify the death of the Savior with the sacrament of the Holy Resurrection; let us remember with prayer our Homeland defenders: the martyrs, the wounded, the captives, the missing, who sacrificed themselves like Christ; and let us appreciate the price paid for peace and the longevity of the Armenian life. Our exhortation is to keep the image of the crucifixion of the Lord in our souls, to remain strong in faith and to pray continually; asking for the Mercy of the Heavenly Father to our souls; as well as peace and security to our Fatherland; and unity and constant will to rise above trials to all our people.
