Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 6, Holy Thursday, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church commemorated the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, the Savior's display of humility in washing the feet of his disciples, and the establishment of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. On this occasion, early in the morning in the St. John the Baptist and St. Vardan Chapel-baptistery of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Service for those who are fasting (Karg Apashkharoghats) was performed.

Then the Brotherhood of the Mother See, with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; participated in the Midday Service and the Divine Liturgy in the St. Gayane Monastery. The Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Hovhannes Kesablyan, Assistant of the Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, who read the sermon “About Holy Communion” of Patriarch St. Basil of Caesarea.
