Holy Lance “Geghard” Will be Brought out on December 02

This year, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church will celebrate the Feast of the Apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew on December 02.
According to the Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; yet in 2015, the feast was proclaimed as Pilgrimage Day of Holy Lance (Geghard).
On the occasion of the Feast, a Divine Liturgy will be offered in St. John the Baptist and St. Vardan Chapel-baptistery of the Mother See, during which the Holy Lance will be brought out.
The Divine Liturgy will start at 10:30am.
The relic will remain in the Chapel-baptistery for the worship of the faithful until 6 p. m..
On December 01 at 5:30 p.m., on the Eve of the Feast, a Divine Liturgy will be offered in St. John the Baptist and St. Vardan Chapel-baptistery of the Mother See. During the Eve of the Feast, the relics of St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew will be brought out.
We cordially invite our pious people to visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and receive the blessings distributed by the miraculous Holy Lance of Geghard.
