His Holiness Theophilos III, The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Replied to the Letter of the Catholiocs of All Armenians

In response to the letter of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; regarding on the unleashed military operations against the Republic of Artsakh; the Patriarch has emphasized that the Patriarchate has always condemned any violence anywhere, encouraging negotiations as the only safe and reliable way to resolve tensions and conflicts.
“It is Our fervent prayer that the leaders of the parties in conflict will come swiftly to the table to resolve this very difficult situation and restore peace and security to the region.
We abhor the loss of innocent life and once again we see people displaced. We join with all people of good will around the world in calling on those in authority to find peaceful negotiated solution to the present conflict. We encourage the international community also to take their proper role in aiding in this urgent task. We pray for a swift and secure ceasefire and the restoration of peace and stability in the region”, -stated in part the Patriarch of Jerusalem; informing about the steps taken related this issue and conveying his Pontifical prayers to the Patriarch of All Armenians.
