His Holiness Karekin II Receives the Honorable Phillip Ruddock
On Friday, September 26, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the Honorable Phillip Ruddock, Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs of Australia. Mr. Ruddock was accompanied by a delegation of dignitaries from Australia who had traveled with him to Armenia.
The Pontiff of All Armenians welcomed the guest to the Mother See, recalling their first meeting in 2002, during His Holiness' Pontifical Visit to the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand.
During their meeting, they spoke about the Australian-Armenian community and the developing relations between the two countries. His Holiness informed the guests about the history and the present-day activity of the Armenian Church and her worldwide headquarters, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
His Eminence Aghan Baliozian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, His Grace Bishop Paren Avedikian of the Mother See, and Mr. Gagik Yeganian, Director of the Department for Migration and Refugees of the Republic of Armenia, attended the meeting.
