His Holiness Karekin II Receives Rifka Cohen, Ambassador of Israel
On February 7, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received Mrs. Rifka Cohen, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to the Republic of Armenia, The headquarters of the Embassy is in Tbilisi.
His Holiness welcomed the first visit of Mrs. Cohen to the spiritual center of the Armenians, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. His Holiness expressed his confidence that the Ambassador?s presence in the region would contribute to the promotion of relations between Armenia and Israel.
Mrs. Cohen thanked His Holiness for the audience, and mentioned that it was very meaningful for her to be present in Holy Etchmiadzin on the Feast Day of Sts. Vartanants. She stated that when she entered the grounds of the monastery, she was affected very much and felt an atmosphere of holiness as she toured the grounds.
His Holiness concluded the meeting by offering a prayer to God asking for peace throughout the world, and love and mutual understanding between all peoples and nations.
