His Holiness Karekin II Receives Governor of Georgian Province
On September 25, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received Mr. Teymuraz Mosiashvili, Governor of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Province in Southern Georgia. Mr. Mosiashvili is the appointed representative of Georgian President Eduard Shevernadze to the province which has a predominantly Armenian population.
During the course of the meeting, they discussed issues dealing with current events in the region, and the importance of continuing the cooperation and development of the relationship between the two nations.
The governor arrived for a two-day official visit to Yerevan on Tuesday.
