His Holiness Karekin II Departs for Armenian Church Dioceses Abroad
On the morning of May 14, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, departed for the Armenian Church Diocese of Russia and New Nakhijevan, (His Grace Bishop Yezras Nersissian, Primate). During his stay, His Holiness will preside during the consecration of the first Armenian Church in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The Church will be named St. Sarkis.
During his trip abroad, His Holiness will also visit the Armenian Church Diocese of the Ukraine, (His Eminence Archbishop Grigoris Buniatian, Primate), where he will preside during a consecration of an Armenian Church in the city of Lvov.
Accompanying His Holiness during the trip are His Eminence Archbishop Barkev Martirossian, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh; Rev. Fr. Geghard Vahuni, Staff-bearer to His Holiness; Mr. Fadey Sargisian, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia; and Mr. Radik Martirossian, Rector of Yerevan State University.
