His Holiness Karekin II Defrocks Very Rev. Fr. Zohrab Kostanian

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has issued a Pontifical Order defrocking Very Rev. Fr. Zohrab Kostanian. From this time forward, he shall be recognized by his baptismal name of Hrant Kostanian and be considered to be a member of the laity.
Hrant Kostanian was defrocked for willful desertion of his spiritual service. The order was issued on November 11, 2005.
