His Holiness Karekin II Defrocks Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Grigoris Shokhikyan

On June 4, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has issued a Pontifical Order whereby Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Grigoris Shoghikyan, member of the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, according to his application, has been defrocked.

As of this day, the defrocked clergyman is a member of the laity and shall be known by his baptismal name of Arman Shokhikyan.
