His Holiness Karekin II attends the Inauguration Ceremony of an Exhibition on Iranian Culture
On February 1, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, visited the National Gallery of Armenia. He had been invited to give his blessings to the opening of an art exhibition sponsored by the cultural center of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia.
His Holiness expressed joy that friendly relations between the two neighboring countries continue to develop and advance, resulting in similar cultural events and conferences.
Following the inauguration ceremony His Holiness toured the various halls of the Gallery and became acquainted with the paintings, engravings, and other works of many Iranian artists.
Mr. Roland Sharoyan, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia; Mr. Muhhamad Farhad Koleini, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Armenia; foreign diplomats accredited in Armenia; as well as artists and intellectuals attended the inauguration ceremony.
