His Holiness Karekin II and His Holiness Zakka I Iwas Visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum

On October 18, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and His Holiness Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Head of the Syrian Orthodox Church, accompanied by bishops from both churches, paid their respects to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. During a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, the two pontiffs offered prayers for the rest of the souls of the martyrs of the first genocide of the 20th Century.
The Pontiffs placed floral wreaths and presided during a Repose of Souls service. The Catholicos, the Patriarch, and the delegations from both churches also toured the Museum of the Armenian Genocide located adjacent to the memorial.
