General Secretary of the Conference of European Churches has Delivered a Message to the Pontiff of All Amenians

Dr. Jørgen Skov Sørensen, General Secretaryof the Conference of European Churches, has delivered a message to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; related to the hostilities on the Artsakh-Azerbaijani line of contact, noting that the European Churches observe the current conflict with great sadness and pray for the quick and everlasting solution between these two neighbours.
“The Conference of European Churches would like to express its condolences over the loss of people killed in the current conflict which started in the middle of the summer.
The Conference of European Churches will like to reassure Your Holiness that it will make diplomatic efforts vis-à-vis international organizations to ensure that the OSCE Minsk Group constantly pushes for a favorable resolution to the current conflict, and it calls on religious leaders to be part of the solution and contribute in good faith to the reconciliation between the
two nations”.
The Secretary General also informed His Holiness about their appeal to the European Union concerning the current situation.
