General Assembly of the Conference of European Churches Convened in Novi Sad, Serbia
On May 31, the regular General Assembly of the Conference of European Churches was convened in Novi Sad, Serbia. In attendance was nearly 500 representatives from different churches and denominations.
The General Assembly, which is titled "You Will Be My Witnesses", will be held from May 31 to June 6.
The Armenian Apostolic Church was officially represented by His Eminence Archbishop Yeznik Petrosyan, General Secretary of the Bible Society in Armenia; at the Governing Council of the Conference of European Churches.
The Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, as a member of the Conference of European Churches, will be participating in the General Assembly with the following members of the official delegation: His Grace Bishop Hovakim Manookian (Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Great Britain); Very Rev. Fr. Shahe Ananyan (Director of the Ecumenical Department of the Mother See); Dr. Karen Nazaryan (Director of the Armenian Round Table Interchurch Foundation) and Dr. Khachik Raffi Gazer (Armenian Diocese of Germany).
