Following the Divine Lirutgy on the occasion of the Feast of St. Gayane and Her Companions and the Republican Prayer, the Catholicos of All Armenians visited the Sardarapat Memorial

On May 28, on the occasion of the First Republic Day, during the visit of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; and the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to the Sardarapat memorial complex, the reprehensible behavior of the police towards the Armenian Patriarch and church members and the prohibitions and violent actions initiated to enter the memorial complex are another episode of the shameful and anti-national activities of the authorities.
Thank God, that despite the violence and prohibitions imposed by the police, His Holiness offered a prayer in front of the memorial to God for the peace of the souls of the brave Armenians who were martyred in the May heroic battles.
May the Heavenly Lord unshakably keep the Armenian independent statehood and immediately bless and grant a safe and secure life to all our people.
