Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Arrives at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin 31.10.2024

On October 31, His Beatitude Archbishop Sahak Mashalian, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, arrived at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On this occasion, the clergy of the Mother See welcomed the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople in a procession to the Christ-built Mother Cathedral, where the "Hrashapar" ceremony was held before the Descent of the Holy Altar.

On behalf of the brotherhood, Rev. Fаther T. Harutyun Kirakosyan, Acting Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, welcomed the Patriarch with greetings and best wishes.  

In turn, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the Holy Etchmiadzin, noting that he had once again found spiritual solace and blessing in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Following this, a private conversation occurred between His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople at the Pontifical Residence.

In the coming days, His Beatitude Patriarch Sahak will participate in the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council to be convened at the Mother See.
