Defense of Graduation Theses in the Gevorkian Theological Seminary
On February 20, six graduates of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary successfully defended their Graduation Theses in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The deacons had written and defended their theses on the following topics: "'Textual Excerpts' by Gregory of Khlat in relation to the Historical Development of the Armenian Language (Deacon Mher Tsaturian); "Relations between Rome and Constantinople in the 9-11th Centuries and the Ecclesiastical Division of 1954" (Deacon Arthur Petrossian); "National Traditions related to the Sacraments of Baptism and Marriage" (Deacon Hovhannes Rushanian); "Manazkert in the sphere of Armeno-Arabic and Armeno-Byzantine Relations in the 9th-11th Centuries" (Deacon Vaghinak Hovhannisian); "The Beginning and Initial Development of the Trinitarian Doctrine" (Deacon Vatchik Zargarian); and "The Volume of Hovhannes of Odzoun's 'Armenian Laws' and its Further Editions" (Deacon Aristakes Navasardian). Having graduated from the Gevorkian Theological Seminary in 2002, the deacons have been working in different departments of the Mother See while they have been preparing their theses. The six deacons are now eligible for ordination to the Holy Order of Priesthood.
