Unfortunately, this New Year's Eve we will have to address to an unpleasant incident.
Throughout the history of independence, ever since the time of His Holiness Vazgen I, the message of His Holiness the Patriarch of the Nation was traditionally broadcasted on the air of Public TV immediately before the address of the head of the country on New Year's Eve.
This year, at the last minute, the Public Television Company informed, without any reason, that His Holiness' New Year's message will not be broadcasted before midnight, as was traditionally customary. Instead, it was proposed to present the address of the Patriarch of All Armenians during the evening edition of News, which was not properly noticed by the Mother See and was rejected.
All other accusations and attributions are fabrications, and the reasons for such a decision should be addressed to the Public Television Company.
