Catholicos of All Armenians to Depart for Switzerland

On October 11, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, will depart the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to pay a two-day Pontifical visit to Geneva, Switzerland.
At the invitation of the president of the Swiss Red Cross Mr. Thomas Heiniger and Head of the Geneva Red Cross Matteo Pedrazzini, the Catholicos of All Armenians will participate in the 2019 Swiss Red Cross Ball, that this year will be held under the slogan “Brighten the Lives of our Elders”. The funds raised will also target the care and support of needy elderly and people with disabilities in Armenia. His Holiness will also preside over the events marking the 50th anniversary of the construction of Geneva’s St. Hagob Armenian Church.
Accompanying the Pontiff of All Armenians will be His Eminence Archbishop Khajak Parsamyan, Patriarchal Delegate of Western Europe and representative of the Catholicos of All Armenians in Vatican, Very Rev. Fr. Archmandrite Shahe Ananyan, Director of the Ecumenical Department of the Mother See and Rev. Fr. Vahram Melikyan, Director of the Information Service Department of the Mother See.
