Catholicos of All Armenians Sends Condolences to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia On February 11, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a letter of condolence to Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow and All Russia; expressing sympathies for the Saratovyan Airlines plane crash that occurred in the Ramenski region near Moscow.
On behalf of the members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Supreme Spiritual Council, His Holiness conveyed his deepest sympathies and condolences to Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church and the families and relatives of the crash victims as well as the people of Russia. “We pray that our Lord receives the souls of the victims in the Heavenly Heights, and may He grant consolation and comfort to their families”, the letter stated in part.
His Holiness Karekin II prayed that God keep Russia and its faithful people in peace and tranquility.
