Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Sergeant Gevorg Dadasyan

On October 12, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Sergeant Gevorg Dadasyan, who was seriously injured during military operations at the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact line in November 2016. He was accompanied by His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Head Chaplain of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
Bishop Vrtanes reported that with the blessings of His Holiness, the soldier traveled to India some months ago, and received necessary medical treatment through the support of the St. Nazareth Armenian Church of Calcutta.
The Catholicos of All Armenians, conveying his blessings and best wishes to the brave Armenian, noted that it was comforting to be supportive of the brave Armenians who risk their lives for the homeland, and through whose service the borders of the homeland are kept safe and secure.
His Holiness noted that Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will continue to assist the wounded soldiers for their treatment and recovery.
The meeting was attended by Rev. Fr. Markos Mangasaryan, Director of the Social Services Department of the Mother See.
