Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Representatives of the Jinishian Foundation

On October 8, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Jinishian Memorial Foundation American Advisory Committee members; former members of the foundation board; and donors and guests. The group was led by member of the Board of Trustees Mrs. and Mrs. Michael and Marie Haratunian; Rev. José Luis Casal, Director of the Presbyterian World Mission; and Mrs. Eliza Minasyan, Director of the Jinishian Foundation American office. The group traveled to Armenia on a pilgrimage for the 50th anniversary of the Jinishian Foundation.
His Holiness noted that the Jinishian Foundation, established in Armenia following independence, has implemented numerous charitable projects, offering great support to the country and nation, particularly during difficult times.
His Holiness expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation between the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Foundation, through which the Jinishian Foundation significantly contributes to a number of programs of the Mother See, as well as educational, social and community development charity programs implemented in the dioceses and spiritual structures.
During the meeting, Catholicos Karekin II answered questions concerning the Ecumenical relations of the Mother See and extensive activities of the Armenian Church.
At the conclusion, His Holiness expressed his wish for God’s blessings and the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the guests in their public activities.
The meeting was attended by Rev. Fr. Paruyr Avetisyan, Director of the Intra-church relations department of the Mother See and Chairman of the Jinishian Foundation Armenia Advisory Committee.
The guests also visited the museums of the Mother See and attended Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral.
